Texi Dreamin’

One day I will be twirling in a tutu and cowgirl boots in a field of miniature horses and rescued puppies, and that will be my life. It took me a while to realize I didn’t have to live the life everyone else expected, or what some deemed “responsible”. I could live whatever little fairytale life I imagined. However, at one point I thought dreaming was irresponsible. I thought to be a responsible adult, it required a realistic view and approach to every area of my life. It was only when I told that part of my brain that it was no longer welcome, did my life really begin to change.

Then there’s that word…change. I almost cringe while typing that word, because we all know what it means. It means being uncomfortable, living in uncertainty, often times questioning our own sanity, all in favor of trying to beat the odds. But, the ones that try are often the ones that do. When it comes down to really digging in your heels, or in my case, boots, some scurry faster than little lizards when they realize that at some point the talk has to stop and you have to walk into that place. The place of change.

In order to confidently walk through the place of change or into the uncertainty it requires a belief that your dreams are worth the uncomfortable phase. I had to spend some time really allowing myself to dream like a little girl ~ before I realized that one day I just wanted to twirl in a field of miniature ponies in a tutu, a t-shirt and cowgirl boots and I wanted that to be my life. And no one else had to understand, because well, it was after all – my life.

I invite you to close your eyes and envision what your dream life would look like five years from now. Not what you think others want from you, or what you think you should be doing, but what YOU want. Where are you living? What are you wearing? Who is with you? What are you doing? Where are you working? What do your surroundings look like? How are you feeling?

Write down FIVE things you would like to have in your life FIVE years from now….I’d love to hear what they are…I would love to pray over your goals…I would love to continue to encourage you as you pursue them with all of your heart…

….dream on baby girl, and let me teach you how to dig in your boots…

      Misty,

Thank you so much for sharing a piece of your “sole”. A lot of it is walking in the unknown and trusting that God has you in the palm of his hands. For me it’s easiest to write out each goals and ask myself on each one -> what is the next action I need take to move this goal forward, and then do that. I can’t wait to hear more about you’re beautiful journey. I can’t wait to visit your boutique. You can subscribe to my newsletter as I will be sending out more encouraging messages along my journey.

      Heart and Sole,

      Michelle

    Michelle,
You have support in many places, even Indiana! I work with your aunt Bonnie. Today she randomly walks up to me and says, “With your pink shirt and boots, you’ve GOT to check out my niece’s pink soled boot line!”

I love your passion, your stunning pink hair, and I am sure at some point along the way, I will own a pair of your pink soled boots.

    Keep striving for the fairytale!
